Kester, who we met when we first arrived at Boartore and showed us around, agreed to guide us to Ran Module.  We bought camels and supplies for the 20-day journey, including some more nightshade poison from Seymour, which I shared with Oberon and Wave.  Garhopper told us that a heavily guarded caravan owned by the Adventurer’s Guild left a couple of days ahead of us, also heading to Ran Module.  They are in search of an artifact, the Lich Crusher, and, also the last group of adventurers that went to the lost city never to be heard of again. Garhopper said Rary was looking for this Lich Crusher as well.

Pinroy was very excited as Belindapoop is willing to answer questions for us about Ran Module, but he can only ask three questions.  We said sure and told him to ask her if the staff is in the catacombs under Ran Module, if the Captain’s treasure is at the bank in Ran Module and if the Sun Lich is waiting for us in Ran Module.  Pinroy put the tip of his long tail in his mouth and begin to roll like a rotund lizard wheel until he was just a blur of scale and sand.  He took his tail out of his mouth and asked the first two questions – to which his goddess answered Yes to – at least that’s what Pinroy told us.  He started to ask her the third question, Will the…will there be rats in Ran Module…Belindapoop answered, yes, to her devoted cleric.

We travel at night when it is cool, Kester leading and all of us keeping watch.  The camels are welcome addition to walking, though Pinroy introduced us to Mattias, his giant scorpion, who he rides.  He spends countless hours clicking at his new steed and for the most part Mattias clicks back.  Pinroy says he is learning his language.

Kester says to be on guard as we are entering Triclaw territory – these were the scorpion people we ran into when we first entered the desert.  It’s not long before we are approached by a larger Triclaw and four smaller scorpion men. The Triclaw tells us in broken common that the Sun Lich Elite have overrun their temple in search of something.  The Triclaw tells us that there is still a way into his temple and he can lead us there.  He says it is two days journey.  Tells us they need to hunt and will rejoin us later.

We continue our journey only to run into some Sun Lich Elite with what looks to be a very large humanoid with them as well as leading some prisoners, some seem to be well dressed. I tell the very large humanoid, who is complaining loudly that he is hungry and wants to eat one of us, that if he helps us out I’ll give him my camel.  He is in agreement and we are able to kill all the Sun Lich elite and their minions…but not before my large friend and all the slaves are killed.

We are able to get 2 silver rings, 5 large gems and 1 very large gem (1,000 gp).

We continue through the night and over take the Adventurer’s Guild caravan where we spend the night and wait for the Triclaw to show us where their temple is.
